Peace Lies in Dialogue & Diplomacy, Not Provocation: Bilawal

Washington: Head of high-level Pakistani Parliamentary delegation and Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that he had a frank and substantive exchange with U.S. Senator Tom Cotton on peace and security in South Asia.

According to Radio Pakistan, in a post on social media platform X, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that he appreciated the U.S. role, especially, President Donald Trump, in facilitating the ceasefire understanding as a stepping stone to durable peace.

He highlighted India’s escalatory rhetoric, the ongoing repression in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, and the dangerous precedent of unilaterally suspending the Indus Waters Treaty and weaponization of water.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari emphasized that the path to peace lies not in posturing or provocation, but in dialogue, diplomacy, and mutual respect.
