Pete Hegseth Praises Pakistan’s Role in Regional Peace Efforts

Islamabad: United States Secretary of War Pete Hegseth has praised Pakistan’s role in regional diplomacy and de-escalation efforts amid tensions involving Iran. Speaking at the IISS Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore today, he specifically credited COAS and CDF, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for their roles in peace efforts.

According to Radio Pakistan, Hegseth highlighted an unexpected development and a growing friendship emerging between the United States and Pakistan, which he described as very important. He also mentioned President Donald Trump’s role in promoting peace between India and Pakistan, underscoring the significance of diplomatic engagements in fostering stability in the region.
