Islamabad: In a significant move to aid recovery in flood-hit Balochistan, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal has directed the construction of at least 400 houses in each affected area of the province. The directive came during a meeting of the Integrated Flood Resilience and Adaptation Project held today in Islamabad, where the current situation in Balochistan was reviewed.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Iqbal chaired the meeting, which focused on addressing the immediate needs of the flood victims. During the deliberations, he emphasized the importance of providing essential amenities, including education and health services, as part of the rehabilitation efforts. He reassured that the federal government would extend full support to the provincial government throughout the reconstruction process.

Further elaborating on the government’s plans, Minister Iqbal noted that the focus would not only be on housing but also on improving other critical sectors such as agriculture and irrigation. The aim is to foster employment opportunities for the local populace, thereby accelerating economic recovery and stability in the region.
