PM Advocates for Data-Driven Approach to Enhance Tax Revenue

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has urged for a data-driven strategy to boost revenue collection and has set a deadline for the completion of key digitization tasks within the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) by the end of this month.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during a meeting in Islamabad focused on the FBR’s digitization, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of making taxation more effective. He called for stringent measures to ensure the successful implementation of the new revenue collection strategy.

Shehbaz Sharif highlighted that the digitization of the FBR marks a significant step in the government’s broader economic reforms. He noted that the efforts of the economic team have begun to produce positive outcomes, particularly in expanding the nation’s fiscal capacity.
