PM and Field Marshal Asim Munir Assess Pakistan’s Peace Mediation Efforts

Islamabad: Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad to review the progress of Pakistan’s mediatory efforts aimed at achieving sustainable peace in the region. The meeting focused on evaluating the current state of the peace process and identifying further steps to ensure lasting stability.

According to Radio Pakistan, both leaders expressed satisfaction with the de-escalation achieved so far and emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and a ceasefire among all parties involved. They acknowledged the restraint demonstrated by all sides and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to facilitating and providing comprehensive support for a peacefully negotiated settlement.

The Prime Minister praised the dedication of the parties engaged in the peace process and expressed his hopes for their success in achieving a lasting resolution. He also extended a renewed invitation to the incoming delegations, assuring them of Pakistan’s highest consideration and support throughout their efforts to secure peace.
