PM Announces US-Iran Peace Deal

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif announced that after intensive talks, a Peace Deal has been reached between the United States and Iran. In a post on the social media platform X, he shared the news that both nations have agreed to an immediate and permanent cessation of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon.

According to Radio Pakistan, the official signing ceremony for this significant agreement is scheduled to take place on Friday in Switzerland. Prime Minister Sharif expressed his gratitude to both the United States and Iran for their commitment to finding a diplomatic resolution to the long-standing conflict. He highlighted the vital role played by the leadership of Qatar, who assisted greatly in the mediation effort leading to this agreement.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister extended special thanks to the leadership of Saudi Arabia and Trkiye for their substantial contributions to the peace process. With the deal now in place, mediators will oversee a series of preparatory meetings this week. Prime Minister Sharif mentioned that these pre-implementation discussions will set the stage for technical talks and the official signing ceremony.
