PM Calls for Independent, Sovereign State of Palestine

Washington: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has urged the international community to work together towards a credible pathway to Palestinians’ self-determination. Addressing the inaugural meeting of the Board of Peace in Washington, he emphasized the long-standing issues faced by the people of Palestine, including illegal occupation and immense sufferings.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister highlighted the importance of ending ceasefire violations to preserve lives and advance reconstruction efforts. He stressed that for long-lasting peace, Palestinians must exercise full control over their land and future, in accordance with the United Nations Security Council’s resolutions.

Shehbaz Sharif called for collaborative efforts towards establishing an independent, sovereign, and indigenous state of Palestine, aligning with relevant resolutions. He expressed hope that under the leadership of President Donald Trump, a just and lasting resolution to the Palestine issue would be achieved.

The Prime Minister commended President Trump’s initiative and leadership in advancing peaceful solutions to global conflicts. He noted that Trump’s bold diplomacy has brought calm to various international hotspots.

Referring to the Pak-India conflict, Shehbaz Sharif acknowledged Trump’s effective intervention in achieving a ceasefire between India and Pakistan, potentially preventing the loss of tens of millions of lives.
