PM Commends Souriya Anwar’s Five Decades of Service to SOS Children’s Villages Pakistan

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has commended the five decades of voluntary service of the outgoing President of SOS Children’s Villages Pakistan, Souriya Anwar, for orphaned and vulnerable children.

According to Radio Pakistan, in his message, he praised her leadership, noting that SOS has grown to sixty-five projects, caring for twenty-six hundred children, providing subsidized education to 12,500 students, and offering technical training to twelve hundred youth each year. The Prime Minister also highlighted the support of twenty-five thousand donors as a testament to the trust she built.

The message of the Prime Minister was read by Shahid Hamid at the Annual General Body Meeting and was received with strong applause from all participants. The Government reaffirmed its support for SOS Children’s Villages Pakistan and expressed confidence that Souriya Anwar will continue to guide the organization in the years ahead.

Former Punjab Governor Shahid Hamid has been elected as the new President of SOS Children’s Villages Pakistan.
