PM Directs Ministry of Religious Affairs to Begin 2024 Hajj Preparations

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has instructed the Ministry of Religious Affairs to promptly begin planning and logistical arrangements for the Hajj pilgrimage next year. He addressed a review meeting concerning the upcoming year’s Hajj arrangements in Islamabad on Saturday.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of aligning preparations with the Hajj policy issued by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He stated that any negligence in serving Hajj pilgrims would not be tolerated in the coming year. Additionally, Shehbaz Sharif directed that the Private Hajj scheme be regularized, ensuring that it operates smoothly and efficiently.

The Prime Minister also called for a plan of action to be presented quickly, following the determination of the dates for the upcoming year’s Hajj. Federal Ministers Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, Musadik Malik, and other senior officials were present during the meeting, highlighting the importance of this national initiative.
