PM Directs NDMA to Enhance Coordination with Provinces Amid Monsoon Rains

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has instructed the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to bolster its coordination efforts with provincial governments and Provincial Disaster Management Authorities during the ongoing monsoon rains.

According to Radio Pakistan, these directives were issued during a meeting in Islamabad where Chairman NDMA, Lieutenant General Inam Haider Malik, briefed the Prime Minister about the preparedness for potential emergency situations across the country during the monsoon season. The discussion also covered the progress of making the early warning system fully operational and the ongoing coordination with the Ministry of Climate Change.
