PM Directs PTDC to Establish Special Tourism Zones

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has directed the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) to take immediate practical steps to promote tourism in the country. Chairing a meeting in Islamabad on Monday, he emphasized that special tourism zones should be established to boost the tourism sector.

According to Radio Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the need for collaboration between the public and private sectors to facilitate the travel of international tourists to Pakistan’s tourist destinations. He pointed out that Pakistan should be introduced abroad as a tourism brand.

The Prime Minister stressed the importance of making special arrangements to promote domestic tourism and facilitate local tourists at recreational spots. He also called for a proper plan to ensure long-term investment in the tourism sector.

Shehbaz Sharif remarked that Pakistan is blessed with natural resources and unparalleled beauty, underscoring the immense potential in Pakistan’s tourism sector to earn foreign exchange.
