PM Expresses Grief Over Devastation Caused by Floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep grief over the devastation caused by cloudbursts and flash floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and northern Pakistan. In a post on his X handle, he extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, emphasizing solidarity with the affected communities during this challenging time.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister stated that the government is mobilizing all possible resources for rescue and relief operations in the affected areas. He highlighted the importance of swift action, particularly in the nine districts severely impacted by the floods, including Swat, Buner, Bajaur, Torghar, Mansehra, Shangla, and Battagram. Special focus is being directed toward the urgent needs in Bajaur and Battagram.

Prime Minister Sharif further mentioned that immediate relief efforts are underway, which include providing assistance to stranded residents and medical aid to the injured. Additionally, heavy machinery has been deployed to clear roads and restore connectivity, ensuring that help reaches those in need as quickly as possible.
