PM Felicitates People of Gilgit-Baltistan on Peaceful Elections

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has felicitated the people of Gilgit-Baltistan on the conduct of transparent, peaceful, and politically vibrant elections in the region.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister acknowledged the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) for emerging as the majority political party in the Gilgit-Baltistan elections and extended his congratulations to the party’s leadership. He also recognized the efforts of the successful candidates from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), commending them for their strong contest and performance. The Prime Minister praised the PML-N team for their hard work.

Furthermore, Shehbaz Sharif extended his congratulations to all other successful candidates in Gilgit-Baltistan. He highlighted the active participation of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan in political activities, acknowledging their contribution to the democratic process.

ence of democracy. He expressed appreciation for the Election Commission’s role in ensuring free, fair, and impartial elections. Additionally, Shehbaz Sharif commended the police and law enforcement agencies for maintaining peace during the elections.
