PM Inaugurates Supply of RLNG Connections to Domestic Consumers

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif unveiled the process for supply of Regasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) connections to domestic consumers on Sunday. Addressing a ceremony in Islamabad, the Prime Minister stated that the restoration of gas connections for domestic use was a long-standing demand of the people.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister emphasized that the RLNG supply would be distributed throughout the country to a large number of applicants. He described the initiative as a continuation of the public welfare-oriented policies initiated by the former government of Nawaz Sharif in 2013.

The Prime Minister also took the opportunity to congratulate coalition government parties, including PPP, MQM, BAP, and others, on the restoration of gas connections to domestic consumers. He also offered prayers for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan, stressing the importance of hard work and dedication.

Earlier, in a video message, Minister for Energy Ali Pervaiz Malik highlighted that the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has reduced its line losses to 4.93 percent while earning a profit of 29 billion in the previous year.
