PM Invites Gilgit-Baltistan’s Lifesavers to Islamabad

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has extended an invitation to Wasit Khan, Ansar, and Muhammad Khan from Gilgit-Baltistan, who are credited with saving 300 lives, to visit Islamabad. The invitation comes as a directive from the Prime Minister to honor the trio for their heroic efforts.

According to Radio Pakistan, the three individuals played a crucial role in alerting local communities in Gilgit-Baltistan about an impending Glacial Lake Outburst Flood, thereby preventing potential disaster and saving hundreds of lives. In recognition of their vigilance and timely action, Shehbaz Sharif plans to present them with a special award.

Prime Minister Sharif has declared Wasit Khan, Ansar, and Muhammad Khan as national heroes, citing their actions as a remarkable example of duty and responsibility. He expressed pride in these individuals, emphasizing that both he and the entire nation regard them as exemplary figures from Gilgit-Baltistan.
