PM Lauds Outgoing Kazakh Envoy’s Role in Cementing Pak-Kazakh Ties

Islamabad: The Ambassador of Kazakhstan, Yerzhan Kistafin, paid a farewell call on Prime Minister Mohammad Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad upon completion of his tenure. The Prime Minister appreciated the Kazakh Ambassador’s valuable contribution towards further strengthening the historic bonds of friendship and cooperation between Pakistan and Kazakhstan during his tenure.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister especially acknowledged the Ambassador’s role in facilitating the visit of Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Pakistan in February 2026, which elevated bilateral relations to the level of a Strategic Partnership. The Prime Minister conveyed his warm regards to President Tokayev and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to deepening the multifaceted partnership with Kazakhstan.

The Ambassador thanked the Prime Minister for the cooperation and assistance extended to him during his tenure and expressed confidence that the trajectory of Pakistan-Kazakhstan relations would continue to grow under the strategic partnership framework. The Prime Minister also wished the Kazakh Ambassador success in his future assignment.
