PM Lauds Police for Ensuring Peace, Conducting Anti-Terrorism Operations

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has lauded the police force for ensuring public peace and conducting hundreds of operations in the war against terrorism in the country. In a message on the occasion of Police Martyrs’ Day, he paid tribute to the brave officers and men of the police who remain active in their duty, sacrificing their lives to maintain law and order across the nation.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister saluted the families of martyrs who have sacrificed their future for the nation. He highlighted that in the war on terrorism, more than 8,000 police officers and personnel have laid down their lives for the homeland, acting as a frontline defense force to protect millions of children from orphanhood.

The Prime Minister remarked that Pakistan Police has demonstrated its professional capabilities globally, with accolades and awards from the recent World Police Summit 2025 serving as clear evidence. He also expressed his satisfaction with the use of modern technology in policing, emphasizing its role in establishing public peace and effectively preventing crime, thereby enhancing the safety of citizens.
