PM Lauds Security Institutions for Ashura Arrangements

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has paid tribute to all relevant security institutions and the Ministry of Interior for maintaining law and order and providing best security arrangements across the country on Ashura. In a statement today, he said the efforts of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, his team, Pakistan Armed Forces, Police, and personnel of the security and law enforcement agencies are commendable.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister noted that Ashura concluded smoothly in an atmosphere of peace. He acknowledged the efforts of provincial governments, along with the governments of Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, in ensuring the best arrangements on the occasion.

Furthermore, he appreciated all Chief Ministers and the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, as well as relevant ministers, for ensuring foolproof security measures on Ashura.
