PM Reaffirms Commitment to Investor-Friendly Policies in Pakistan

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has reiterated Pakistan’s dedication to fostering investor-friendly policies, aiming to accelerate economic growth and digital transformation. He made these remarks during a meeting with Timur Turlov, Chairman and CEO of Freedom Holding Corporation of Kazakhstan, who visited him in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister warmly received the CEO, extending his best wishes to Kazakhstan’s President, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. He highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to implementing a comprehensive economic reform agenda. Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the vast potential of Pakistan’s youthful population and growing digital infrastructure, inviting Freedom Holding Corporation to actively engage in the development of Pakistan’s financial markets.

The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the CEO for demonstrating a strong interest in expanding operations within Pakistan, including the establishment of branches, digital financial services, and correspondent banking partnerships. The discussions also covered potential collaborations in retail brokerage, Islamic banking solutions, fintech innovation, and capital market development.

In response, Timur Turlov conveyed his confidence in Pakistan’s economic prospects and affirmed his company’s dedication to exploring long-term strategic investments in line with Pakistan’s development goals.
