PM Reaffirms Commitment to Strengthen Pakistan-Kuwait Cooperation

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation with Kuwait in diverse fields. He expressed these views while talking to the Foreign Minister of Kuwait Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, who called on him in Islamabad today.

According to Radio Pakistan, during the meeting, the Prime Minister conveyed his best wishes to Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah. He highlighted the longstanding fraternal relations between Pakistan and Kuwait, which are founded on shared values and mutual trust.

Discussing the regional situation, the Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s complete solidarity with the leadership and people of Kuwait and condemned the attacks on Kuwait and other Gulf countries during the ongoing conflict. He stated that Pakistan is playing its role as a mediator and facilitator in regional peace efforts and expressed gratitude to the Kuwaiti leadership for supporting these efforts.

Shehbaz Sharif also acknowledged the contribution of the Pakistani community in Kuwait to its socio-economic development and appreciated the Kuwaiti government for hosting them. The Kuwaiti Foreign Minister conveyed the greetings and best wishes of the Kuwaiti leadership to the Prime Minister and reiterated Kuwait’s commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation.

He also appreciated Pakistan’s efforts to advance dialogue and diplomacy in resolving the current regional crisis and thanked the leadership and people of Pakistan for their support for Kuwait. Both sides agreed to maintain close consultation and coordination on issues of mutual interest and to exchange high-level delegations in the near future.

The Prime Minister reiterated his invitation to the Crown Prince of Kuwait to undertake an official visit to Pakistan at a mutually convenient time.
