PM Reaffirms Pakistan’s Desire to Further Strengthen Ties with Iran

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with Iran’s President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian on Saturday. The Prime Minister extended warm Eid greetings to the Iranian President as well as to the brotherly people of Iran on the joyous occasion. He also conveyed his respectful regards and good wishes to His Eminence Supreme Leader Ayatullah Ali Khamenei.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister recalled his recent visit to Tehran and reaffirmed Pakistan’s desire to strengthen ties with Iran in areas of mutual interest. The discussion between the two leaders also covered regional and global developments, including the recent Pakistan-India crisis and the situation in Gaza.

During the conversation, the Prime Minister reiterated his invitation to President Masoud Pezeshkian to visit Pakistan officially at his earliest convenience.
