PM Satisfied Over Improvement in Credit Rating of Pakistan

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed satisfaction over the improvement in the credit rating of Pakistan by S and P Global Ratings. In a statement on Thursday, he highlighted that the credit rating upgrade from CCC+ to B- indicates that the country’s economy is swiftly moving towards stability.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister emphasized that the improved credit rating will not only facilitate Pakistan’s access to international capital markets but will also alleviate the pressure of external debt repayments. He noted that this development will enhance foreign investors’ confidence in the economy and contribute to the improvement of Pakistan’s macroeconomic indicators.

Shehbaz Sharif further stated that international financial institutions and rating agencies are recognizing the government’s successful economic policies. He also commended the efforts of the government’s economic team in achieving this milestone.
