PM Satisfied with Pakistan’s Current Account Surplus

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed satisfaction over Pakistan’s current account surplus reaching a historic high of 1.2 billion dollars last month. In a statement on Thursday, he said the surplus reflects a stabilizing economy. He said the current account surplus for the first nine months of this fiscal year has been 1.85 billion dollars.

According to Radio Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif said the recent positive economic indicators are evidence of the government’s policies being on the right track. He highlighted that the record remittances, increasing exports, and tireless efforts of the government’s economic team have made the current account surplus possible. He further emphasized that the government is striving for sustainable development of the national economy.
