PM Shehbaz Approves Restructuring Plan for Pakistan Agricultural Research Council

Islamabad: A meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad today gave approval in principle to the restructuring of the Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC).

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister instructed that a comprehensive plan for PARC’s restructuring be prepared with a clear timeline. He directed that the PARC be developed into a top agricultural research institution modeled on the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences.

The Prime Minister emphasized that agricultural research plays a key role in the development of the country’s agriculture and food security. During the meeting, a detailed briefing was given on making the PARC a dynamic institution aligned with the modern demands of agricultural research.
