PM Shehbaz Sharif Reaffirms Pakistan’s Support for Kashmiri Self-Determination

Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reiterated Pakistan’s firm support for the Kashmiri struggle for self-determination, amid ongoing tensions in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

According to Kashmir Media Service, during a meeting with a delegation of Kashmiri diaspora activists led by Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai, Secretary General of the World Kashmir Awareness Forum, PM Sharif expressed Pakistan’s continued moral, diplomatic, and political backing for the Kashmiris’ pursuit of freedom. He emphasized that lasting peace in South Asia hinges on a fair resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute, in line with the relevant UN Security Council resolutions and the desires of the Kashmiri people.

The Prime Minister highlighted his consistent advocacy for the Kashmiri cause at various international platforms, including the UN General Assembly and meetings with world leaders. The Kashmiri activists appreciated Pakistan’s steadfast support and discussed recent developments and their efforts to promote the Kashmiri freedom struggle worldwide.
