PM Shehbaz Sharif to Lead Delegation at WEF Annual Meeting in Davos

Davos: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will lead a high-level delegation to the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland, starting on Tuesday. He will be accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, among others.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister’s itinerary includes various substantive engagements, including participation in the WEF’s Informal Gathering of World Economic Leaders (IGWEL) session on ‘Restoring a Spirit of Dialogue in a Divided World’. Additionally, he will chair a Pakistan-specific “High-level Business Roundtable” with corporate leaders.

On the sidelines of the meeting, the Prime Minister is expected to engage with several world leaders and business executives. His discussions will focus on articulating Pakistan’s perspective on global and regional peace and development, as well as highlighting the government’s vision and achievements in the areas of economy, trade, and investment opportunities.

The WEF Annual Meeting is a significant global event that assembles political leaders, business executives, heads of international organizations, and civil society representatives. It serves as a platform to deliberate on contemporary geopolitical, economic, social, and environmental issues.
