PM Shehbaz Vows to Strengthen Democracy, Rule of Law

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening democratic institutions, constitutional supremacy, parliamentary governance, the rule of law, and meaningful public participation in decision-making.

According to Radio Pakistan, in his message on the occasion of the International Day of Parliamentarism being observed on Tuesday, he said the Constitution of Pakistan guarantees a democratic system of government founded upon the principles of representative governance.

He said the parliament serves as the principal constitutional forum through which the aspirations and concerns of the people are articulated and translated into legislation.

The Prime Minister said Pakistan’s parliamentary democracy has also made significant progress in promoting inclusivity and effective representation.
