PM Thanks US President for Extending Ceasefire with Iran

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has extended his gratitude to U.S. President Donald Trump for graciously accepting the request to extend the ceasefire, which aims to allow ongoing diplomatic efforts to take their course.

According to Radio Pakistan, in a social media post on X, Prime Minister Sharif expressed his gratitude on a personal level and on behalf of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. He emphasized that with the trust and confidence placed in Pakistan, the country would persist in its earnest efforts for a negotiated settlement of the conflict.

The Prime Minister expressed hope that both sides would continue to observe the ceasefire and work towards concluding a comprehensive ‘Peace Deal’ during the second round of talks scheduled to be held in Islamabad. This effort is aimed at achieving a permanent end to the conflict.
