PM Urges Enhanced Pak-Turkiye Trade and Defence Partnership.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called for a deepening of cooperation between Pakistan and Turkiye, focusing on trade, investment, and defence sectors. In a meeting with Turkiye’s Ambassador, Irfan Neziroglu, held in Islamabad, the Prime Minister highlighted the importance of nurturing these ties.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the current state of bilateral relations and thanked Turkiye for its unwavering support to Pakistan, particularly regarding the Kashmir issue. He also reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to supporting Turkiye on its core interests.

Shehbaz Sharif welcomed Ambassador Neziroglu to his new role and expressed optimism about working closely to enhance the bilateral relationship. He extended his best wishes to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and reiterated an invitation for an official visit to Pakistan at the President’s earliest convenience.

Ambassador Irfan Neziroglu assured the Prime Minister of his dedication to strengthening the friendship between the two nations. The meeting also covered discussions on regional matters, with a particular focus on the situations in Gaza and the Middle East.
