PM Welcomes Attribution Court’s Supplementary Award on Indus Waters Treaty

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has welcomed the supplementary award issued by the Court of Arbitration under the Permanent Court of Arbitration regarding the Indus Waters Treaty. In a statement, he noted that the court’s decision has reinforced Pakistan’s stance that India cannot unilaterally suspend the Indus Waters Treaty.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister emphasized that work is ongoing on water resources, as water is considered a vital component of the nation’s development. The Prime Minister also expressed his appreciation for the efforts of Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar and Attorney General Mansoor Awan in the matter.
