PMD Forecasts Dry Weather in Most Parts of Country

Islamabad: Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast mainly dry weather in most parts of the country during the next twelve hours, while cold and partly cloudy conditions are expected in the hilly areas. Light rain-thunderstorm with light snow over high mountains may occur at isolated places in north Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir. Day temperatures are likely to remain above normal in plain areas.

According to Radio Pakistan, the temperature of major cities recorded this morning was as follows: Islamabad at seventeen degrees centigrade, Lahore at twenty, Karachi at twenty-three, Peshawar at nineteen, Quetta at ten, Gilgit at fourteen, Murree at eleven, and Muzaffarabad at fifteen degrees centigrade.

The weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir indicates partly cloudy weather with chances of light rain in Srinagar, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramulla. Partly cloudy and dry weather has been predicted for Jammu, while cloudy and cold weather is expected in Leh. This morning’s temperature readings showed Srinagar, Anantnag, and Baramulla at nine degrees centigrade, Jammu at nineteen, Leh at minus-four, and Pulwama and Shopian at eight degrees centigrade.
