Islamabad: Prime Minister’s Adviser Rana Sanaullah Khan announced that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is leading in the first phase of the General Elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. He made this statement while addressing a joint news conference in Islamabad, accompanied by Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, Amir Muqam.
According to Radio Pakistan, Rana Sanaullah Khan stated that the PML-N had secured nine out of the thirteen seats in Mirpur Division. The remaining four seats were won by the Pakistan People’s Party. The election process was reported to have been peaceful.
Rana Sanaullah congratulated the newly elected representatives and expressed hope that they would effectively address the issues faced by the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Amir Muqam emphasized that the electoral results reflected the people’s support for PML-N and their leadership, highlighting the significant voter participation as a positive outcome for the region.
