PNS YARMOOK Executes Counter-Narcotics Operation in North Arabian Sea

Karachi: Pakistan Navy Ship YARMOOK, while operating under the Saudi-led Combined Task Force 150 of the Combined Maritime Forces, successfully executed a major counter-narcotics operation in the North Arabian Sea, resulting in the seizure of narcotics valued at approximately 972 million dollars.

According to Radio Pakistan, this achievement underscores Pakistan Navy’s commitment to regional maritime security, global peace, and the fight against illicit trafficking at sea. The operation reflects the navy’s strategic role in maintaining safe and secure maritime boundaries.

Upon the successful antinarcotics operation, Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, commended the crew of PNS YARMOOK for their professionalism and dedication. He emphasized the importance of safeguarding national maritime interests and contributing to global maritime security through cooperation and coordination.

The Naval Chief highlighted that PNS YARMOOK’s operation under the Saudi-led task force is set to enhance interoperability between the two navies and strengthen defense collaboration between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
