Police Arrest Accused in Group Captain Asim Tariq’s Martyrdom Case

Islamabad: Islamabad Police have arrested the accused involved in the martyrdom of Pakistan Air Force Group Captain Asim Tariq during a tragic incident in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, Inspector General of Islamabad Police Ali Nasir Rizvi announced at a news conference in Islamabad that the accused, Saad Abbasi, was traced and arrested. The arrest was made possible through the use of advanced technology, including AI cameras, which helped identify Abbasi’s motorcycle and clothing.

The incident took place when Group Captain Tariq intervened upon witnessing the suspect attempting to forcibly take a woman with him on Ninth Avenue in Islamabad. Inspector General Rizvi assured that all legal procedures will be adhered to, and the case will be pursued to its logical conclusion.
