Posters Featuring Pakistan Army Chief Surface in Srinagar Ahead of Pakistan’s Defence Day

Srinagar: In the run-up to Pakistan’s Defence Day on September 6, posters featuring General Syed Asim Munir, the Pakistan Army chief, have been spotted in various parts of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). These posters, heralding a message of liberation and peace, have stirred various reactions among the local populace.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the posters praising Pakistan’s Defence Day appeared prominently in different areas of Srinagar. Displayed in public spaces, they carry images of General Munir along with messages highlighting aspirations for freedom and peace in the region.

The content of the posters conveys a strong political message, indicating a time when “Kashmir will be freed and the people will get their rights.” It also advises India to “quit its nefarious agenda and leave occupied Jammu and Kashmir in the interest of the peace in South Asia.”

This development comes at a sensitive time, given the historical and ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan, particularly concerning the region of Jammu and Kashmir.
