ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) has been recognized as one of the largest corporate donors in Pakistan for 2022 by the Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (PCP), marking the 19th consecutive year it has received this honor. PPL’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) contributions totaled Rs. 3.7 billion for the financial year 2023-24.
According to Pakistan Petroleum Limited, the award was presented by the Minister of State for Finance, Revenue, and Power, Mr. Ali Pervaiz Malik, to PPL’s General Manager of Shared Services, Syed Mahmood ul Hassan. The ceremony, organized by PCP in Islamabad, included attendees such as business leaders, civil society representatives, bilateral donors, and media members.
PPL has a history spanning over seven decades of community support, providing services in education, healthcare, livelihood generation, infrastructure development, and disaster relief. The company operates both in remote and urban areas, collaborating with partners to implement CSR initiatives aimed at sustainable development.
The recognition highlights PPL’s role in impacting underserved communities and its contribution to fostering social development nationwide.
