President and PM Mourn Martyrdom of Maulana Muhammad Idrees Tarangzai

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have expressed grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of the prominent religious scholar Maulana Muhammad Idrees Tarangzai in an attack in Charsadda.

According to Radio Pakistan, President Zardari extended heartfelt condolences to the family of the martyr and prayed to Almighty Allah for the elevation of his ranks. He condemned the cowardly terrorist act, emphasizing that such actions cannot dampen the resolve of the nation. He reiterated the nation’s firm commitment to completely eliminate terrorism from the homeland and assured that action against terrorist elements will continue indiscriminately to make the country a cradle of peace.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif also expressed deep grief and sorrow over the tragic incident. In his statement, he extended heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul. The Prime Minister further prayed for the speedy recovery of the police personnel injured in the incident.
