President and Prime Minister Vow to Combat Terrorism Following Attack on Security Forces

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have reaffirmed their commitment to combating terrorism in Pakistan, following an attack in Bannu that resulted in the deaths of twelve security personnel. The leaders expressed their condolences and emphasized the nation’s resolve to eradicate terrorism.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, both leaders issued separate statements highlighting their determination to address the threat posed by terrorist groups. President Zardari paid tribute to the soldiers who lost their lives, acknowledging their sacrifice for the defense of the country. He stated that the nation honors those who have died protecting the motherland.

Prime Minister Sharif underscored that the sacrifices made by the security personnel will not be in vain. He remarked that the group responsible for the attack, referred to as Fitna-ul-Khawarij, poses a threat to the safety of the people and will face severe consequences.
