President Approves Hilal-e-Pakistan for UN Envoy on Islamophobia

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has approved the conferment of civil award, Hilal-e-Pakistan, upon Miguel ngel Moratinos, the United Nations Special Envoy to Combat Islamophobia. The President has also approved the appointment of Zafar Hasan as a member of the Federal Public Service Commission.

According to Radio Pakistan, the decision to honor Moratinos recognizes his efforts in combating Islamophobia at an international level. The Hilal-e-Pakistan is one of the highest civil awards in Pakistan, aimed at acknowledging individuals who have made significant contributions in various fields.

The President’s approval for Zafar Hasan’s appointment to the Federal Public Service Commission highlights the government’s commitment to strengthening public service institutions. The Federal Public Service Commission is responsible for recruiting civil servants and bureaucrats in the country, and Hasan’s role will be crucial in ensuring transparency and efficiency in this process.
