President Approves Three Pieces of Legislation on PM’s Advice

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has approved three pieces of legislation on the advice of the Prime Minister.

According to Radio Pakistan, the approved bills are the Qanun-e-Shahadat (Amendment) Bill, 2025, the King Hamad University of Nursing and Associated Medical Sciences Bill, 2025, and the National Commission for Minorities Rights Bill, 2025. These legislative measures reflect the government’s ongoing efforts to address various aspects of legal, educational, and minority rights issues.

The Qanun-e-Shahadat (Amendment) Bill, 2025, aims to update the existing legal framework concerning evidence law. The King Hamad University of Nursing and Associated Medical Sciences Bill, 2025, focuses on the establishment and regulation of a new medical sciences university. Meanwhile, the National Commission for Minorities Rights Bill, 2025, is designed to safeguard and promote the rights of minority communities within the country.
