President Asif Ali Zardari Advocates for Enhanced Business Environment to Boost Economy

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari emphasized the need for a more business-friendly environment to bolster the economy during the 12th Federation of Pakistan Chambers and Commerce and Industry Excellence Awards ceremony held today. The President called for the rationalization of interest rates, the provision of cost-effective energy, and enhanced support for export-oriented industries to facilitate economic growth and development.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, President Zardari also encouraged the business community to invest in the country’s stock exchange and focus on industries that support small and medium enterprises and generate employment opportunities. He highlighted the importance of a comprehensive approach to navigating the economic challenges facing the nation.

Further, the President advocated for affordable electricity, land, and other amenities to promote trade and industry. He urged entrepreneurs and the business community to actively contribute towards the economic transformation of the country. The event also saw the distribution of the 12th FPCCI Excellence Awards to members of the business community in recognition of their outstanding performance and contributions to the economy.

The ceremony was well attended by members of the business community and senior government officials, signaling a unified effort towards economic recovery and sustainability.
