President Commends Coalition Joint Committee’s Diplomatic Initiatives

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari, commending the proactive diplomatic initiative of the Coalition Joint Committee, has lauded its efforts for effectively presenting Pakistan’s perspective on the global stage. He was talking to Parliamentary Leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians in the Senate, Senator Sherry Rehman, who called on him in Islamabad on Thursday.

According to Radio Pakistan, during the meeting, matters pertaining to the ongoing budget session were discussed. Senator Rehman briefed the President on the progress made in the Senate of Pakistan and highlighted the party’s active role in legislative business. She also apprised the President of the recent diplomatic efforts undertaken by the Coalition Joint Committee to advance Pakistan’s message of peace and responsible strategic maturity in the recent crisis with India, while also garnering international support for Pakistan’s position.

Sherry Rehman thanked President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif for entrusting the team and its leader, Former Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, with all their confidence and support.
