Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has conferred military awards upon forty-seven officers and personnel of the armed forces in recognition of their services to the motherland. To this effect, an investiture ceremony was held at President House in Islamabad today.
According to Radio Pakistan, the awards include three Sitara-i-Bisalat and forty-four Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military). Martyred Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Ali Shaukat and Sepoy Soban Majeed Baloch were given Sitara-i-Bisalat posthumously. Sepoy Israr Muhammad also received Sitara-i-Bisalat.
