President of United Arab Emirates meets Prime Minister

Rahim Yar Khan, December 31, 2013 (PPI-OT): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that Pakistan attaches immense importance to strategic ties with UAE. Pakistan is desirous of further strengthening and diversifying bilateral ties in all areas of cooperation, the Prime Minister added.

The Prime Minister said this while meeting His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, in Rahim Yar Khan.

The Prime Minister also congratulated the UAE President on Dubai’s selection as venue for EXPO 2020 and said that it is a matter of great pride for Pakistan that Dubai has been chosen to host the EXPO 2020. He said it would enhance the image of the whole region.

The Prime Minister appreciated UAE’s investment in Pakistan and progressive increase of trade between the two countries and said that it is reflective of UAE’s trust in the investor friendly environment in Pakistan.

The Prime Minister said that Pakistan is in a good position to meet the future human resources needs of UAE and added that the already more than 1.25 million Pakistanis working in UAE are a human bridge between the two countries who would continue to play a vital role in the development of UAE.
