President Pays Tribute to Martyrs of Karsaz Tragedy

Karachi: President Asif Ali Zardari has paid tribute to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and the martyrs of democracy on the 18th anniversary of the Karsaz tragedy. In his message on the occasion, he highlighted the commitment of Benazir Bhutto, who returned to Pakistan despite clear threats to her life and remained determined in her struggle for democracy following the terrorist attack at Karsaz.

According to Radio Pakistan, the President recalled how Benazir Bhutto, undeterred by the attack, visited hospitals and neighborhoods the next day to meet the injured and console the bereaved families, demonstrating her concern for her workers and the people of Pakistan. He emphasized that as the nation faces ongoing challenges of terrorism and extremism, the courage and sacrifice of the martyrs of the Karsaz tragedy strengthen the resolve to overcome these forces.
