Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have commended the Pakistan Navy for its commitment, bravery, and sacrifices in defending the country’s maritime borders.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, both leaders expressed their admiration in separate messages on Navy Day, highlighting the nation’s pride in the naval force’s readiness to protect Pakistan’s waters. In his message, President Zardari emphasized the Navy’s preparedness to address both conventional and non-conventional challenges. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to modernizing the force, stating that a strong navy is essential for national security and prosperity. Zardari also acknowledged the sacrifices made by Navy personnel, describing them as an inspiration for the nation.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in his statement, praised the Navy’s determination and dedication to duty, noting their ability to overcome challenges while maintaining their resolve to serve the country. He extended his congratulations to Navy personnel through a post on the social media platform X.

Additionally, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, in her message, expressed pride in the officers and jawans of the Pakistan Navy, saluting their efforts to safeguard the nation’s sea boundaries.
