President, PM Congratulate Japan PM on Landslide Victory in Lower House Elections

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have extended warm congratulations to Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi on the historic landslide victory of her Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) in Japan’s lower house elections, securing a commanding majority in the House of Representatives. In a statement, the President noted that the decisive electoral outcome reflects the strong confidence of the Japanese people in Prime Minister Takaichi’s leadership and her commitment to making Japan strong and prosperous.

According to Radio Pakistan, the President also reaffirmed Pakistan’s desire to further strengthen friendly relations with Japan and to deepen cooperation across areas of mutual interest for the benefit of both peoples. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has also congratulated Sanae Takaichi on her re-election as the Prime Minister of Japan.

In a post on X handle, he said Pakistan looks forward to continue working with Prime Minister Takaichi to further strengthen and diversify excellent bilateral relations with Japan.
