President Urges Boost in Pakistan-Czech Trade

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has stressed the need for promoting trade, investment, and people-to-people contacts between Pakistan and the Czech Republic. He was discussing these matters with Pakistan’s Ambassador-designate to the Czech Republic, Shehryar Akbar Khan, during a meeting in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, President Zardari highlighted the significance of the Czech Republic as a vital partner for Pakistan in Europe. He also emphasized the importance of facilitating exchanges of parliamentary and cultural delegations between the two nations.

In a related development, Pakistan’s Ambassador-designate to Ukraine, Major General (Retd) Kunwar Adnan Ahmed Khan, also met with President Zardari. During their conversation, the President expressed Pakistan’s desire to enhance mutually beneficial cooperation with Ukraine. He urged the newly appointed envoy to actively promote economic, trade, and cultural relations between Pakistan and Ukraine.
