President Welcomes MoU Announcement Between Iran and US

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has welcomed the announcement of a Memorandum of Understanding between the United States and Iran: In a post on X handle, he hoped it will pave the way for a final agreement and lay the foundation for durable and comprehensive peace in the region.

According to Radio Pakistan, President Zardari stated that Pakistan is proud to have consistently supported dialogue and diplomacy during this difficult period. This development is also an important step towards strengthening multilateralism and the peaceful resolution of disputes through engagement and mutual respect. He hoped these efforts will usher in greater peace, stability and prosperity for the region and the world.
