President Zardari Awards Nishan-e-Pakistan to Kazakh President

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has conferred the Nishan-e-Pakistan on Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at a Special Investiture Ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad. The award was presented in recognition of President Tokayev’s efforts in strengthening the bilateral relations between Pakistan and Kazakhstan.

According to Radio Pakistan, the ceremony saw attendance from a number of dignitaries, including Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, members of the Federal Cabinet, Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, members of the diplomatic corps, and parliamentarians.

Following the ceremony, a state banquet was held in honor of the President of Kazakhstan, further underscoring the significance of the event and the relationship between the two nations.
